About 2020

Enel Green Power managed to build 3.1GW of new renewable capacity globally last year, a record for the company that exceeded 2019’s level by 2.5% despite the obstacles presented by the Covid pandemic. The watchword of the year has been Energy transition: the recovery is green. The Year 2020 declared the beginning of a significant shift in many countries’ energy and environmental policies, towards decarbonization based on challenging objectives. Enel Green Power offered experience, operational excellence and sustainability energy to support the green recovery as a further confirmation of our sustainability pact. Enel Green Power is ready to do its part to accelerate the energy transition and to accompany the development of new green initiatives: strengthening its teams to tackle new challenges, forming new partnerships and turning its skills into a public good, with informative online projects and initiatives on the ground to share the world of green energy – so that renewables belong to everyone more and more.
