The Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP) is a trans-European initiative led by the European Commission and the governments of the eight countries surrounding the Baltic Sea. The BEMIP working group on Renewables is meeting in Hamburg to discuss the offshore wind potential in the Baltic Sea and support offshore capacity deployment over the next years.
The event consists of a first closed-door coordination meeting (09:15 to 12:15) between the European Commission and government representatives of Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, followed by a stakeholders’ (upon invitation only) consultation workshop.
