Senior aero-elastic research engineer, ORE Catapult

Biography

Mr. Rodriguez studied aerospace engineering at UPM (Polytechnic University of Madrid), and swiftly moved from Airbus to wind energy where he has acquired 10 years of experience. With a strong technical background as loads engineer in wind energy manufacturers Gamesa and eno-energy, Carlos is now working as aero-elasticity senior engineer at ORE-Catapult. His main task there is validating existing aero-elastic codes with Levenmouth measurements. He is also working on preventing leading edge erosion on very large wind turbines and researching on lifetime extension, blade vibrations during idling and floating substructures.
