Biography

Mr. Fabio Pollicino leads the Service Line Project Certification at DNV GL, Energy, Renewables Certification. He is responsible for wind power plant related certification services and the development of respective DNV GL service documents (Service Specifications, Standards and Recommended Practices). Mr. Fabio Pollicino has been a driving force in harmonising the certification services since the merger between DNV and GL in 2013. In his former role as Head of International Operations at Renewables Certification Mr. Fabio Pollicino build-up, established and lead the four international certification groups operating in the countries China, India, North America (Canada and USA) and United Kingdom. He joined GL Renewables Certification as a computational analyses engineer in 2002 and became an Expert and later Principal Engineer for wind turbine machinery components and inspected Wind Turbines and component facilities on sites as well. As project manager for international customers he acted as well as business development manager also for Small Wind Turbines. He was and partly still is actively involved in national (VDI 2230, BSH) and international committees (IEC 61400-2, IECRE). Fabio Pollicino holds degrees in civil engineering and management/industrial engineering.
