Biography

Thomas Bahr received the Diploma degree in 1992 and the Dr.rer.nat. degree in 1997 at the University of Munich (Germany) in Geology. From 1992 to 2000 he was involved in international remote sensing projects. In 2001 he achieved a supplementary degree in application development for GIS systems. Since 2001 he works as a senior consultant in the Custom Services Group of Harris Geospatial Solutions. Based on his research background his focus is on software technologies for the analysis of remote sensing data. His activities include user-specific software projects and training courses on the basis of ENVI, IDL, and SARscape. Thomas Bahr’s current main interests are time series analysis with SAR and optical data, process automatization, and the integration of the Harris software products with ArcGIS.
