Biography

Bernhard Zangerl (*1966) is chief executive officer of Bachmann electronic GmbH, a privately-owned limited liability under Austrian law. Bachmann is a leading provider of advanced automation technology for industrial, maritime and energy applications and is today world market leader for automation and condition monitoring solutions in the wind-industry. The company has more than 470 employees and serves customers globally via 14 wholly-owned subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and America. Bernhard Zangerl joined Bachmann in 2006 as CTO and Managing Director and was appointed chief executive officer in 2008. Prior to joining Bachmann, Bernhard Zangerl was Managing Director of Harris Broadcast Europe, a US-Headquartered corporation. Earlier, he served as Managing Director and Director R&D for Hirschmann Austria where he held various management roles and where he began his career as R&D engineer and Project leader in 1988. Bernhard Zangerl holds a degree in Telecommunication engineering and electronics from the technical Institute in Innsbruck, Austria and a postgraduate diploma in General Management.
