Biography

Tim Crutchley has worked for over ten years in energy resource analysis, focusing predominantly on onshore wind, but with a global perspective. Tim studied at Loughborough University, finishing with the respected Renewable Energy Systems Technology MSc. Initially Tim was employed by Sinclair Knight Merz, working on wind analysis projects and progressed to managing projects and providing due diligence on a large portfolio of assets throughout Europe. The key focus was assisting investors developing projects in the emerging markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Tim was then exposed directly to development at the independent wind farm developer, Ecotricity, where he was responsible for all the portfolio energy resource work dealing directly with manufacturers, consultants and decision makers. Tim joined Wind Prospect in 2013 and worked on a mix of offshore and onshore wind and solar projects in the UK, Poland, Turkey, Ireland, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and South Africa. During his time at Wind Prospect, Tim became the manager of the energy resource services team, overseeing the development of services and the management of the geographically distributed team. Tim has now taken on a similar role at Lloyd’s Register, managing the new energy resource services team, servicing the project lifecycle of all renewable energy assets throughout the many geographies in which LR operates
