Biography
Vladimir Prakht graduated from Ural State Technical University with a master degree in electrical engineering in 2004. In 2007, he graduated from the post-graduate course of Ural State Technical University, specializing in electric engineering and defended his PhD thesis devoted to optimal control and mathematical modeling induction heating systems. He is an author of more than 30 scientific papers and of three monographs in the field of electrical engineering. His field of scientific interests is optimal designing energy-efficient motors and generators and their optimal control algorithms. He is an author of four patents for invention. Since 2009, he is an associate professor at the Electrical Engineering department of Ural Federal University. Since 2013, he is a head of the laboratory of the electric drives. In 2014, Vladimir Prakht and his colleagues founded EMACH LLC specializing in designing energy-efficient electric motors and generators.
