Biography

Valter Luiz Jantara Junior is a researcher at the school of Metallurgy and Materials at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on increasing the reliability of wind turbine gearboxes via techniques such as condition monitoring, finite element analysis, surface engineering, and failure analysis. He was recently awarded the Len Gelman award by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing for the best paper for a person on the early stages of their career.
