Biography

Udo Zillmann is Secretary General of Airborne Wind Europe, the industry association that represents the AWE industry and academia as well as suppliers, utilities and others that are working towards the success of Airborne Wind Energy. He is also the founder and managing partner of Daidalos Capital GmbH, a private equity fund management company that specialized in investing in Airborne Wind Energy companies. Mr. Zillmann is a renowned expert in Airborne Wind Energy and the author of “Financing Strategies of AWE Companies” (in: Airborne Wind Energy, Springer 2013), “The Trillion Dollar Drone” (in: European Energy Review, 2015) and „The Economic Dimension of Airborne Wind Energy“ (introductory chapter of the book “Airborne Wind Energy Advances”, Springer 2018). He is a regular speaker on Airborne Wind Energy. Mr. Zillmann holds several legal and business degrees.
