Biography
Michał Motylewski is a counsel in Dentons’ Warsaw Energy and Natural Resources Practice Team, specializing in particular in issues relating to the development of the EU’s internal market in electricity and gas and the implementation of the Second and Third EU Energy Package in Poland.
He has extensive experience in the field of cross-border electricity exchange, capacity allocation and congestion management (CACM) as well as issues relating to the operation of electricity transmission and distribution grids, both in terms of regulatory affairs, system operation and contracts. This background offers unique added-value for clients facing challenges of the upcoming market reform in the EU (Clean energy for all Euroepans).
He has advised and represented energy sector enterprises before the Court of Justice of the EU, European Commission, Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), national regulatory authorities in Poland (URE), Austria (E-Control) and the Czech Republic (ERU).
