Biography

Martin Doerenkaemper holds a PhD in atmospheric physics and has been working in wind energy research for more than 7 years. Currently, he is working as a PostDoctoral researcher at Fraunhofer IWES. Dr. Doerenkaemper studied meteorology in Hamburg and Norman, Oklahoma. After his undergraduate studies he focused in his PhD research on offshore wind conditions and their impact on the power output of offshore wind farms and wakes. His current research focuses on meso- and microscale simulation for on- and offshore wind energy siting applications.
