Biography

Dr Kate Freeman has three years of experience with BVG Associates, following completion of a PhD in offshore renewable energy converters. She works on cost of energy modelling projects and in developing BVGA’s modelling architecture. Kate led the LCOE modelling programme for Wind Europe’s recent “Unleashing Europe’s offshore wind potential” report into offshore wind in 2030. She also leads the BVGA team’s input into the InnoEnergy-BVGA offshore wind innovation modelling programme involving extensive industry engagement and the co-ordination of multiple strands of numerical understanding. Kate has also developed cost reduction expectation models for global offshore wind costs under different market scenarios.
