Biography

Mr. Alexandros Iliopoulos holds a doctoral degree in offshore wind engineering since March 2017. His research interests are articulated around the structural health monitoring of offshore wind turbines and his thesis was entitled "Virtual sensing techniques for response estimation and fatigue assessment of offshore wind turbines". He has published more than 25 journal and conference papers. Currently he is employed as Offshore Load Validation Engineer at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. His main activities and responsibilities include the design verification of support structures by means of measurements.
