Biography

Gunnar started his career within Vattenfall in 1999 joining corporate development. He has held various positions within strategy/corporate development both in Germany and Sweden. In 2009 he became Head of Corporate Development/M&A for the Region Central Europe. In 2011 he joined the Business Unit Hydro being responsible for the German Hydro portfolio comprising of ~3000 MW installed capacity of Pumped Storage and Run of River Hydro plants. January 2014 Gunnar started to run the Business Unit Renewables within Vattenfall for the Continental / UK market covering project development, engineering & construction and generation. Since April 2015 Gunnar is member of Vattenfall’s Executive Group Management taking the responsibility for Vattenfall’s entire Wind business.
