Biography

Giorgio Crasto is a Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in Industrial Engineering, both entitled at the University of Cagliari, Italy. Dr Crasto has deepened his studies in Fluid Dynamics at the von Karman Institute and has more than 10 years of experience in CFD modeling of the wind for resource assessment. Among his areas of interests there are the modeling of the wind in forested areas and wakes modeling with analytical and CFD models. Recently he has been developing a tool for micrositing based on the solution with OpenFOAM of the neutral atmospheric boundary layer and wakes modeling with a version of Jensen/Park Model.
