Biography

Dr. Ahmed Elkadi is a Chartered, CEng, civil (geotechnical) engineer and researcher with 25 years of experience. His academic qualifications include Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (1991) and Master and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. His experience covers both industrial assignments as a consultant in many parts of the world and as a researcher in applied geotechnical engineering with Deltares and TNO knowledge institutes in the Netherlands. He has a broad background in geotechnical and civil engineering, including site investigation and laboratory work, foundation design, non-destructive foundation testing, hazard and risk assessment, forensic engineering, and offshore geotechnics, A distinct area of Elkadi’s expertise regards geotechnical numerical analysis using finite elements where he completed many projects and tutored many international courses. Dr. Ahmed is a qualified project manager and has managed several industrial and research projects.
