Session description
CBAM is entering a critical phase, shifting from a policy framework to an operational obligation for Europe’s wind industry. Its implementation introduces significant practical challenges: complex carbon reporting rules, inconsistent data from non EU suppliers, and uncertainties around how embedded emissions will be calculated and verified. These issues risk increasing costs and administrative burdens for manufacturers already operating in a highly competitive global environment. This session will explore the practical challenges companies may encounter as CBAM begins to take effect, even while its review process unfolds in parallel.
