Session description
Europe’s energy system needs more flexibility to integrate rising shares of wind and advance on demand electrification. This session explores the regulatory initiatives driving that shift — from the EU Grids Package to ACER’s new flexibility assessment methodology guiding Member States' planning. Speakers will dive into new business models and market tools, like hybrid PPAs, behind the meter solutions and virtual trading parties. All to show how flexible assets and innovative commercial structures can make current grid capacity more efficient, reduce curtailment, and accelerate renewable investment.
