PO339: Two scopes, one campaign: reducing costs with multi-purposed campaigns

Abstract
As offshore wind in Europe rapidly scales, developers face pressure to reduce costs, minimize vessel time, and meet high environmental and operational standards. Many project scopes — from environmental compliance to asset integrity management — require video collected from remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) or autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). By integrating these scopes into multi-purposed campaigns, developers can significantly cut mobilization costs and risks while improving data quality. The challenge is that environmental, operations, and asset integrity teams often work in silos. We show how coordinated planning and shared specifications allow the same dataset to serve multiple purposes — supporting environmental compliance, operational monitoring, and long-term asset integrity — while also fostering transparency and stakeholder confidence.
