Biography

Laurent Verdier is Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at BW Ideol since 2024, a leader and pioneer in floating offshore wind technology. Laurent leads business development and project acquisition for both co-development and EPC(I) activities. He plays a key role in building robust derisking strategies for the floating wind industry, including the development of the Serial-Construction Facilities in Ardersier and Fos-sur-Mer to support future commercial projects using concrete floaters. With 26 years of experience delivering complex energy projects worldwide, Laurent has been directly responsible for the execution of landmark offshore wind projects such as Block Island (USA), Merkur (Germany), Saint-Nazaire (France), and Provence Grand Large (France).
