Session description
Spain has just approved;
(i) December 21: a Roadmap for Offshore Wind focused on floating (FOW) with a goal to reach 1-3 GW in 2030.
(ii) March 22: Spanish TSO´s investment plan 2021-26, including needed grid upgrades & infrastructures for future FOW connections.
However, there´s still much to be done i.e.
(a) the national Spatial Marine Plan (MSP) is still not defined,
(b) the regulation must be updated and adapted accordingly with the future Roadmap & future MSP guidelines,
(c) the auctions type, criteria and calendars are unknown, still to be defined.
Will the Roadmap 2030 goal be achieved? Which are the main challenges? And, the possible solutions?
Let´s talk with the Spanish market´s key stakeholders about this & more.
