Session description
Moving towards climate neutrality matching power demand and supply at all timeframes will become more challenging. All energy resources will need to become much more flexible and responsive to market signals and system needs. This will require a well-functioning market design but also the right digital tools - software and hardware - to untap this flexibility potential from all resources. It will also require the right practices and digital infrastructure for data management and sharing among the various stakeholders. Universal data standards and interoperability will also be crucial to scale up these technologies. This session will discuss technological, standardisation and policy needs to scale up digitalisation for more flexibility in the system.
