Abstract

New maintenance and inspection plans and procedures, let Acciona Energía to achieve the highest electric annual generation and availability ratios according with Operation standards. Acciona Energía's wind fleet is wide and varied, national and international, incorporating different technologies, manufacturers and windfarm´s ages from the youngest to over 25years old facilities. Some of the regular inspection systems for wind turbines like Weld inspections (steel towers), and Blade inspections are slow and require equipment and tools complicated to operate and they are also effective while compromising technicians physical integrity when making this kind of operations. We do believe it´s possible to use of different technologies, not specifically developed for the Wind Turbine industry, to improve these regular maintenance operations. * Automatic and autonomous robots shipped with ultrasound sensors for weld inspections. * 3D Vision cameras for blade inspections.
