PO236: VICE (Virtual Immersive Cockpit Environment): A versatile virtual cockpit to remotely supervise and control a multi-system of heterogeneous vehicles

Abstract

Reducing the costs of supervision and maintenance of wind and photovoltaic fields remains an issue of the energy transition. A significant cost is the regular travel to sites of teams of expert operators, often located far from the installations.In this context, we offer an immersive 4D virtual cockpit for remote operation: it will allow operators to supervise and control (Smart Room) all the drones (UAVs) and ground robots (UGVs) necessary for the inspection thanks to the possibilities offered by virtual reality, and the use of a 3D map representing the real world.
