Abstract

As offshore wind farms are growing in size and complexity, planning and execution of the operation and maintenance logistics become even more demanding, and conventionalplanning approaches are challenged.Multiple scheduled and unscheduled work orders mustbe planned and executed daily taking changing weather conditions, vessel performance,personnel shift rotasand potential sharing of resourcesinto considerationwhen choosing the best work order execution sequence for ensuring maximum power production at minimum cost. This daily exercise is very time consuming, complex, requires manual input from several datasourcesand more iterations are typically needed. This presentation will describehowagent-basedmodelling has been applied todigitalize thisprocess anddevelop acloud-basedwork order scheduling and optimization decision support tool, whichcan assist the operator in ensuring maximized availability and reduce the cost.
