PO001: V2G: Balearic Islands

Abstract

CCIONA Energy is developing a project called V2G: Balearic Islands which combines software and hardware to obtain an end-to-end solution that offers real-time demand services to Spanish energy grid by means of the use of electric vehicles. The objective of this project is the validation of innovative and complementary services to the energy sales business: 1. Smart charging services 2. Ancillary services, providing flexibility with the batteries of the electric vehicles 3. Peak shaving to minimize penalties for excess of the contracted power V2G: Balearic Island is located in the Balearic Islands where we have installed 16 charging stations (with 3 different powers and from 3 different providers) in 8 locations. V2G technology opens the path to increase the flexibility of energy grid while providing revenues to the client.
