Research Associate, University of Kassel
BiographyAlexander Basse works in the field of wind energy meteorology since 2017. After studying physics at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg and Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency at the University of Kassel, Mr. Basse now works as a research associate at the University of Kassel and at Fraunhofer IEE. His main research topics are vertical extrapolation of wind speed, long-term correction of short-term wind measurements and wind fields inside and outside of wind farms.
- Seasonal effects in the long-term correction of short-term wind measurements: Comparison of linear models and machine learning approaches
- Introduction to the WINDOW Project: Development of a lidar- and AI-based wind field for offshore wind farms
