Offshore Wind Innovation Department Manager, Iberdrola

Biography

Dr Angulo is the Innovation Manager of Iberdrola’s Offshore Wind Energy Business. Her background is in Industrial Engineering and she specialised with an MSc on Structural Integrity at Brunel University London where she also completed her PhD in Structural Health Monitoring whilst progressing her career. During her post-graduate studies, she spent nine years working full-time at TWI Ltd in various roles, from managing projects to leading teams in her area of expertise, moving towards innovation programmes management and partnerships. Focusing on the energy business, Dr Angulo became the Director of the Renewable Energy Innovation centre in 2020, a collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire, to advance new technologies in the sector. Nowadays, she’s managing the innovation efforts of Iberdrola’s offshore wind activities and supporting the different disciplines addressing key technology challenges and connecting with world leaders in innovation and sustainability.
