Biography

Antonio Morais is currently Global Commercial Leader for GE’s Renewable Hybrids business. Antonio has commenced in this new role on January 1st, 2022 and he’s based in Barcelona. Antonio started his career as a Sales Engineer in GE Power Controls in Portugal 21 years ago, assuming in 2007 the position of Commercial Leader for Southern Europe at GE Wind based in Spain and moving in 2011 to Brazil as Commercial Leader of GE Wind for Latin America. In 2014 Antonio moved to Chile as Commercial Leader for LatAM for GE Mining. In 2015 Antonio was invited to move within GE Mining to the role of Key Account Manager for the largest copper producer worldwide. Still in Chile, Antonio was invited to move back to GE Renewable Energy to support the growth in the rest of Latin America as a Commercial Director for Latin America, where he created and managed the Commercial Operations team across Latin America. In 2018, Antonio moved back to EU as Services Commercial Director for EMEA, leading the Sales and Commercial teams that are responsible for the growth strategy for both contractual and transactional sales of O&M Contracts, CM&Us, Parts and Major Operations for the GE, Eco and Multivendor fleets.. Antonio has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Oporto University (Portugal) and holds an Executive MBA from the IE Business School (Madrid).
