Biography

Elena Ferrández has been working in the renewable industry for more than 15 years. She is currently leading the Prospective Technology team at Iberdrola Renovables within the Global Development department. She is responsible for the origination of new products and services within the renewable business such as energy storage systems or hybridization of technologies, the screening and foresight of renewable technologies as well as the promotion and support for innovation projects within the renewables sector. She studied industrial engineering at the Polytechnical University of Madrid (Spain) and completed her MSc in Management & Information Systems at Cranfield University (UK). She was part of the first edition of the Global Energy MBA Program in the University of Warwick (UK). Elena has a wide experience in different areas of the energy sector, ranging from investment analysis to the development of new business models related to the renewable industry.
