Biography

Peter Loepelmann has been a post-doctoral researcher with the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology in Kassel, Germany since 2014 and has recently assumed the position of department head. His research interests include control engineering and dynamical analyses of renewable energy systems, most notably wind energy. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Ilmenau University of Technology in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He pursued his doctoral thesis while working for Daimler AG in Stuttgart, Germany, and received this Ph.D. degree in 2014 from Dresden University of Technology.
