Biography

Sofia Koukoura is a Senior Asset Performance analysis engineer at ScottishPower Renewables, part of the ScottishPower group operating in the UK under the Iberdrola Group utility companies. She holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialisation in Energy Systems from National Technical University of Athens. She also has a PhD and long research experience focusing on wind turbine diagnostics and prognostics, signal processing and machine learning. She is currently leading several R&D projects within ScottishPower, in the area of wind turbine predictive maintenance, data analytics and wind farm O&M.
