Biography
Ellen is a researcher in the Cork University Business School and the Environmental Research Institute in UCC since 2017. Ellen has 20 years of research and development experience, working with interdisciplinary teams on Environment, Agriculture, Health, Statistics and Economics. She has been awarded research grants from the DAFM (Forestry), COFORD and the EPA. She is currently working on the Co-Wind project which is investigating community acceptance of wind farms on a local and national level. She previously worked as a Senior Consultant in ADAS, UK Biorenewables section, as project manager and science lead of a national forestry project and as a statistician in the Central Statistics Office. Ellen has a B.Sc. (1994) and a Ph.D. (2001) from University College Cork and a H.Dip. in Data Science and Analytics (2016) from Cork Institute of Technology.Posters
