Biography

Pedro Ribeiro, Oceanographer and Master in Geography, started his career as Research Assistant for the Brazilian Navy in 2009. He proceeded to lead the Coastal Instrumentation Division at a multinational company for the next seven years, coordinating oceanographic monitoring on several locations along the Brazilian coast. After leading the Brazilian operation of a Norwegian instrument manufacturer for one year, he started to work as a Research Assistant in Portugal, on projects related to wave energy and coastal risks. Pedro joined the team of CoLAB + ATLANTIC in 2020, where he works as EO Downstream Expert, especially focused on engaging with potential users and identifying their requirements for innovative EO-based services. Currently he also plays the role of Technical Manager in a number of projects related to maritime applications at Deimos Engenharia, one of the +ATLANTIC associates.
