Biography

John’s multidisciplinary engineering experience spans wind farm resource assessment to site management and technology development on small and large onshore and offshore wind farms. His 25 years’ experience in the wind industry and a DPhil in instrumentation and aerodynamics brings in-depth knowledge and field based experience across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, electronic, aerodynamic and thermodynamic engineering disciplines. He has operated a portfolio of windfarms analysing their performance from new to end of life. He has successfully deployed and utilised met data both onshore and offshore being responsible for early deployments of lidar systems onshore and floating lidar systems offshore.
