Biography

As a principal consultant and head of wind & site of OWC, Okan supports authorities, project developers, utilities, and lenders with bank-grade wind resource assessment and yield predictions, based on climatological and mesoscale models, and supported by on-site measurements and nearby wind farm production data. Over the past 15 years within the wind energy industry, he has established a strong focus on offshore and onshore energy yield assessments (CFD) at complex sites. Okan brings considerable worldwide technical consulting knowledge from his past employment in the wind industry and project development experience from his work for wind project developers. He oversaw measurement activities, conducted various independent energy yield estimates, and performed post-construction analysis for 5+ GW of onshore and offshore projects. As a lender's technical advisor, he reviewed third-party reports of over 5+ GW total capacity.
