Biography

Carol has worked in the Fatigue Integrity Management section at TWI Ltd for 13 years and is now a Consultant. Her speciality is the fatigue performance of welded joints. She runs fatigue testing programmes, provides consultancy on the fatigue design of welded and bolted joints to industry. Carol’s other interest is in the management of ageing assets, and has jointly authored reports on the management of ageing assets which have been published by the UK HSE. Carol has a PhD in materials science and is a Chartered Engineer through The Welding Institute.
