Biography

Mr. Basurko has been working in the wind industry for almost 20 years. He is currently a senior consultant in IKERLAN, a research institute that is part of the Basque Research and Technological Alliance. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Navarra. He joined IKERLAN in 1993 and has been part of the Robotics, Mechanical Engineering and Monitoring departments. He has been involved in several projects with major wind OEMs and providers in various roles. His research is mainly focused in structural health monitoring, mainly related to fatigue and vibration.
