Biography

Amaia Martínez is a civil engineer specialized in dynamic of structures with extensive international experience in technology development and project management. She is currently Chief Technology Officer at HWS Concrete Towers. She holds a Master in Civil Engineering from the University of Cantabria (Spain) and a MASc. in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from the University of British Columbia (Canada). She started her professional career as a structural engineer with a strong focus on seismic design and structural health monitoring. In 2016, she joined Saitec Offshore Technologies as project manager for the development of a disruptive floating wind platform. Since 2018, she has been working for HWS Concrete Towers with the aim of introducing new precast concrete products in the wind energy market.
