Biography

Christian Verrecchia holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. His background is in renewable energy, power electronics, machine learning and AI applied to renewable technologies. He joined EDP NEW in 2020 as a researcher and since then he has been working in projects related to RES technologies (namely wind and solar energy) focusing on O&M optimisation strategies, data analytics, AI and economic analysis. Before joining EDP, he worked as a power electronic designer for the Italian Railway Network manager, designing and prototyping novel power converters (AC/DC and DC/DC with high efficiency and low harmonic distortion).
