Biography

Charles is a renewable energy specialist with a passion for delivering projects which are commercially sound and serve the public good. Recently he co-ordinated for Ofgem the financial close of the £500m transmission link for the Race Bank offshore windfarm and is working on offshore wind for Vattenfall, Equinor and The Crown Estate. Charles has experience optimising regulated assets including bidding for subsidies and licences, and financing large scale renewable energy projects. Previously, he worked ten years for Grant Thornton and thirteen years for Nomura Investment Bank as a member of the Principal Finance Group (PFG) , which acquired businesses with a total value of $21 billion. He has a track record of working effectively at board level and with senior civil servants.
