BiographyTabea Hildebrand is working as a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (Fraunhofer IEE) in the wind resource characterization group. Her research focuses on the uncertainty of scanning lidar measurements for wind resource assessment. She studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Dresden. As part of a project with the National Institute for Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in Wellington, New Zealand, she worked on renewable energies in the context of wave energy converters. In 2020, she came to Fraunhofer IEE to write her final thesis on the uncertainty of multi-lidar wind measurements and graduated in March 2021.
