Intern – Strategic Communications

WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind energy across Europe. We have over 600 members from across the whole value chain of wind energy.
We are looking for a Strategic Communications Intern to strengthen our Press and Communications team made up of 4 people.
You will gain hands-on experience in two areas of our work, supporting our strategic communications and help create digital content that hits the mark.

We are all based at the heart of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium., working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home to facilitate work/life balance.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Strategic communications: Support ongoing strategic communication projects, with a focus on combatting wind energy-related dis- and misinformation
- Stakeholder management: Help build and maintain connections with external stakeholders, including from member companies, agencies, content creators, NGOs, and other associations.
- Content creation: Help create engaging content for WindEurope’s social media channels. Develop new content formats in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Digital campaigns: Support the planning and delivery of digital campaigns, including content planning, progress tracking, editorial calendar management, and evaluation.

This role is ideal for someone with strong creative and organisational skills, and an interest in building stakeholder relationships in a dynamic environment. If you are not familiar with social media platform trends and content creation, this role is not for you.

Experience
- At least bachelor’s degree in digital communications, political communications, political sciences, marketing, engineering, or a similar field.
- First experience in political campaigning and/or growing political social media channels.
- Experience in developing grassroots initiatives or political movements is a plus.
Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Excellent comprehension of social media platforms and communication trends.
- Previous experience with social media content creation and social media tools.
- Basic video editing skills are a plus.
Languages
- Excellent level of English (written and spoken).
- Any other EU language is a plus.
