Wind Turbine Sound 2016

As requested by participants at the previous edition in Malmö, Sweden, the WindEurope organised the 3rd edition of its Wind Turbine Sound technology workshop.
Organised by the industry and for the industry, with an international scope and well established in the acoustic community, this workshop is unique in its category.
In the frame of this workshop, WindEurope and the programme committee organised a Sound Propagation International Comparison Exercise (SPICE). Data are available for download and the deadline for submission of results was be mid-October. Results were presented at the workshop.

The programme featured five sessions covering:
- Measurements
- Wind farm design & siting
- Wind turbine design
- Human perception of noise and guidelines
- Outcomes of the 1st Sound Propagation International Comparison Exercise (SPICE)
As in 2014, the different sessions also took a specific look at amplitude modulation (AM/OAM), low-frequency sounds (LFS), sound levels and Tones.
