Alain Taccoen is Head of Stakeholders Relations at EDF European Affairs, in charge of coordinating EDF Group participation in think-tanks and some Brussels based associations. Alain’s first position in 1994 was in EDF Research & Development Division in the Transmission Planning Department. From 1997 to 2001, in the EDF Strategy Division, he was an economic expert for market regulation and for cases before competition authorities. From 2001 to 2014, he worked for RTE in the Regulation and Finance Department of in charge of all activities regarding regulation (network and market) from the RTE financial view. During that period, he convened the ENTSO-E Working Group in charge of establishing the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. He participated to several studies overseas for RTE International. From 2014 to March 2017, he was Head of Retail Regulation in the Economics, Tariffs and Pricing Division of EDF. Alain holds Degrees from Ecole Centrale de Paris, France and a PhD in Physics from the University Paris VI.
