Mr. López Tafall was born in Santander, Spain in 1965. He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of País Vasco, and speaks English and French. He started working for the Spanish Ministry of Economics in 1989 as a State Economist and held different job positions. In January 1998 he leaves the Public Sector and joins RETEVISION, Spain’s first alternative wireline telecoms operator entering the market, holding the position of Institutional Relations Director as well and Director of the Presidential Office. Before joining ACCIONA, in November 2005 he was appointed Institutional Relations Director and Member of the Executive Committee in the ONO Group, the leading alternative cable and broadband operator in the Spanish market. Since May 2011 he is Director of the Regulatory department of the ACCIONA Group. As Director of Regulation, José will be in charge of managing and coordinating at the corporate level the tasks of prospection and regulatory analysis, and will head relations with regulatory bodies in the markets in which we operate He is also Vicepresident of the (AEE) and member of the board of WindEurope, where he also acts as Chairman of the Market Integration Working Group.
