Aidan Cronin is the chair of the ETIPWind Steering Committee Chair. Since 2009 he has been Advisory Specialist to the CTO first at Siemens Wind Power A/S and later at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. From 2007 to 2009 he performed technical analysis for a number of clients including Statkraft. From 2000 to 2007 he worked at Vestas Wind Systems in various functions including business development, CRM, technical training, analysis and lobbying. His previous energy experience includes Research Manager for Data Research Africa, South Africa, where he conducted energy studies for the national utility, Eskom, and the South African Government. While in South Africa he was CEO of Tekwini Tronics Durban, designing and installing domestic township electrical systems. Aidan holds a B.Comm degree from the University College Cork, Ireland, a Diploma in Technical sales from CTEC Cork, Ireland and a MSc Degree in Foreign Trade from Århus School of Business.
