Prof. dr. Gerard J.W. van Bussel is full professor in Wind Energy at the TU Delft in Delft, The Netherlands. He has more than 40 years of experience in academic wind energy research and education, and chairs the Wind Energy group at TU Delft since 2008. Gerard holds a PhD in Wind Turbine Rotor Aerodynamics and is author of more than 200 scientific articles, conference contributions and journal papers in the area of wind energy and rotor aerodynamics. He is one of the founders of EAWE, the European Academy of Wind Energy and is a former board member of WindEurope.
