Aviation Manager, Scottish Power Renewables, United Kingdom
Biography
Anne Mackenzie is ScottishPower Renewables’ Aviation Manager. ScottishPower Renewables is a member of the Iberdrola group and is the UK’s leading wind operator, with over 2,000MW in operation in the UK. Anne works to resolve aviation issues for SPR’s onshore and offshore sites: advising on aviation issues for SPR’s development sites (including radar and lighting), resolving objections raised by aviation stakeholders, and advising on operational issues, such as heli support for offshore windfarms. Prior to joining SPR in 2011, Anne worked for Infratil Airports Europe where she undertook strategic (windfarm) safeguarding for Glasgow Prestwick and Manston Airports. Anne has been at the forefront of the UK renewable energy – aviation interface for over ten years, chairing RenewableUK’s Aviation Working Group and the Aviation Investment Fund Company Limited (a consortium of UK developers supporting R&D into aviation issues) and representing AIFCL on the UK Government’s Aviation Management Board. Anne is also part of SPR’s team examining corporate PPA offtake opportunities.
